What drives the rut here

Oklahoma's whitetail rut shows real regional variation across the state's Cross Timbers, prairie, and panhandle habitats. Northeastern hardwood counties peak first, with central counties in mid-November and the southwest and panhandle running slightly later. ODWC publishes regional rut data through its annual deer harvest summary.
