Fishing Regulations & Conservation
What is the difference between recreational and commercial fishing limits?
Recreational limits apply to anglers fishing for personal use — typically per-day bag limits and minimum sizes per individual. Commercial limits apply to fishing operations selling fish — typically annual quotas, gear restrictions, and reporting requirements. Both share total allowable catch (TAC) for a species, divided between sectors.
