Reading Water & Finding Fish
How do I find oyster bars for redfish and sheepshead?
At low tide, oyster bars are exposed and visible — note locations on satellite imagery and on-water observation. At higher tides, look for areas where current is broken, with visible roiling or eddying. Oyster bars produce reliable ambushing points for redfish and dense feeding zones for sheepshead.
