Livestock-breeds pages cover bull safety considerations.
Dairy & Homestead Animals
Are dairy bulls dangerous?
Yes — dairy bulls (especially Jersey, Guernsey, Holstein) are considered MORE dangerous than beef bulls because of their close human contact during dairy operations and territorial breeding behavior. Jersey bulls in particular have a reputation for aggression. Most homestead dairy operations use AI rather than keeping a bull. Never trust a dairy bull; they kill people regularly.
